Hi! This is ILoveHorses! Well I’m really srry that I took so looong in putting up the next horse! I hope that u guys 4-give me! It’s just that I haven’t gotten a lot of time and well…You get the point! Also, it was because I was WAITING 2 get a picture of this beautiful horse 2 show from SOMEONE. But I guess the person just PLUMB 4-got! Back 2 our horse of the month…
This month’s Horse of the Month is: The Akhal Teke! Have u ever heard of this sweet guy? Well if u have, and u haven’t, then this is your chance 2 find out! This gorgeous horse is from Turkmenistan, in the southern region, which is Turkmen. This horse is a SUPERB racer in these parts and has been 4 at least some 3,000 years! The Akhal Teke has amazing natural gifts and is known 4 its great stamina and courage. It is native 2 an arid, barren environment. If u want one of these Akhal Tekes, here is a food tip: Feed them frequently with butter and eggs mixed with barley. This horse is used in show jumping and daily use under saddle, today.
The Akhal Teke is beneficially compared 2 the Persian Arab. The head is similar the the Arab’s, which is long and light, with expressive eyes. The horse has long ears and a neck with a short mane or no mane at all. It has a short tail and a long back with flat ribs and a narrow chest. Its legs are long and slender. It averages 2 about 15-15 and 1 hands in height. They r mostly dun in colour, but they can be bay and gray with a pale-golden coat.
